Sheri Stanford is a 20-year tourism industry veteran who possesses a range of experience in travel planning, consulting, and research. The foundation of her expertise is in creating, coordinating, and escorting domestic and international tours. Her hands-on work in tourism planning and research honed an astute apprehension of every aspect of visitor experience, especially quality and standards in hospitality and tourism services. Her projects include conceptualizing and developing travel and study abroad programs and curricula for academic institutions; creating tours for various affinity groups; and designing travel fundraisers for non-profit organizations.
Her tourism consulting work includes clients such as the Anacostia Trails Heritage Area, Grounds for Sculpture, and the Belize Tourism Board, for which she advised on creating strategies to increase tourist and economic impact in the country’s emerging destinations.
